GOT IT!
For the third consecutive year, I have landed the t-shirt and menu cover design for the Berkshire-Hathaway Annual Shareholders Dinner!!!
This project allows me to hone my skills as a vector artist and showcase my abilities to a large number of VERY important people.
Now, if I could only get an invite to the dinner! :)
Check out http://www.facebook.com/Eugenius.Graphics for updates and I will post the final design once completed.

SEXY web design....
Now, I know what you are thinking....what is so sexy about web design?
Think about it...something that is "sexy" is exciting. Appealing. Intriguing. Slick.
So this term we are learning how to design sexy web sites. The use of high resolution photos, eye-appealing typography. Getting away from the drab designs we see today.
So, stay tuned.....good things are on the horizon for Eugenius Graphics.
Maybe I'll even "fix" my current site!

Todays "Ramblings"....
Design...
I believe it is the ability to use ALL tools and resources available to convey a feeling or literal message to a specific target audience.
Using clipart is NOT designing!
Creating visually appealing vector art is!
Having vector art resources (or photographs for that matter) for REFERENCE materials is acceptable but purchasing works from someone else and attempting to pass them off as your own is NOT designing!
If you are going to be a "designer", you need to be able to "design"!

Help me understand...
OK...
I will attempt to make an observation WITHOUT offending anyone...but if you are offended...maybe you are who I am referring to...
Why is it that all these "photographers" feel the need to edit their photos beyond recognition?
What happened to the true photographer who knows how to use lighting and his/her surroundings to get that special photo?
Sure some photos need a bit of light adjustment or things of that nature, but why is there a need for all the filters and special effects?
Take a picture! Don't fix what isn't broken!!
Just my opinion.
